SUMMER squash gives a chance for new up and coming squash players to learn to play competitive team squash, and this year Petersfield Squash Club have entered a team made from the Thursday night Herne Farm Improvers group.

The Petersfield Pistons took on Nuffield Nuggets last Thursday.

Petersfield coach Jonathan Graham beat Paul Roux convincingly 3-0. Matt Smith had a long running battle with Rob Warburton, with Warburton winning 3-1. Team captain Paul Bundey played the very experienced female player Bev Brockway, with Brockway winning 3-0. Iain Swann played plenty of quality squash with good drives to the back of the court, but Alan Weltch used his experience to win 3-0. Wayne Proctor was in fine form but was unable to finish a game out and lost 3-0. The final score was 4-1. Petersfield play LOS Raiders in the next round.
