HOLLIE Webb insists she was just doing her job when scoring the gold-medal winning penalty in Rio de Janeiro.

The defender is not known for her goalscoring exploits but kept her composure to seal the gold medal.

Webb said: “I don’t normally score goals, so that was a bit of a shock.

“At that moment in time that was just my job for the team, and everyone else did their jobs throughout the game so that was just my job to execute that and put that in.

“I guess I was lucky it was me.”

Webb admits that winning the gold medal still hasn’t sunk in.

She said: “Rio was unbelievable and I don’t think it’s really sunk in still yet.

“Our aim was to win the gold medal, but to actually go and achieve it is a bit surreal.

“We were expecting it to be more of a rollercoaster.

“If you were going to write down how you’d want the Olympics to go beforehand, you probably wouldn’t have written it as well as it actually went.”
