Petersfield under-eight Hurricanes v Bourne Blades under-eight Badgers: A FIVE-goal blitz in less than ten minutes saw Petersfield under-eight Hurricanes blow away their North East Hampshire Youth League rivals at Love Lane on Saturday.

Playmaker Harry Timmons scored a deserved hat-trick to double his goal tally for the season, while Oscar Walker opened his account for the season with two fine strikes, the second a stunning effort from just inside the Badgers’ half.

Walker set the Hurricanes on their way, thumping the ball into the net from a corner, and Timmons then ghosted in from the left before firing in off the far post.

Taylor Pearce almost made it three after racing clear but saw his effort cannon off the post, but Timmons made no mistake when he seized on hesitation in the Badgers defence to confidently plant the ball past the goalkeeper.

Then came Walker’s spectacular effort before Timmons completed his hat-trick at the far post after Pearce’s tricky low shot was spilled by the Badgers goalkeeper.

Hurricanes goalkeeper James Port had to make some fine saves, and Benjamin Oru cleared an effort of the line.
