Petersfield Ladies III 2 Basingstoke Ladies V 0: PETERSFIELD Ladies’ third team had most of the possession in the first half and took the game to Basingstoke.

A mistake by Basingstoke gave Petersfield a short corner. The short corner was injected by Chandler to E Marks, who passed the ball to Purkiss and the first goal was awarded to Petersfield. Basingstoke were good at the counter-attack, however the strong and reliable defence of S Rymer, Amsbury and Hardwick kept them from scoring. Towards the end of the first half a ball to the face of Hulme took her off the pitch, and on came substitute A Marks.

The second half saw more of the same. Some good saves by keeper R Marks, with some helpful coaching from her daughter, kept Basingstoke at bay. A short corner was injected by Chandler to L Ryman, who blasted the ball at the goal and scored. A stick to the hand took Hardwick off the pitch, and Purkiss took on the role in defence.
