Finchampstead under-13 Hurricanes 1 Petersfield under-13 Pirates 3: THE PIRATES’ game on Sunday was away in Finchampstead.

The first five minutes mainly consisted of the Pirates clearing the ball and Finchampstead coming straight back and dominating the play. After a while, Josh slotted the ball past the keeper to put Petersfield in the lead. The celebrations did not last long though as one of Finchampstead’s midfielders hit a half-volley over James L.

The second half started a bit better for the Pirates, and Joe tried his luck from outside the box and arrowed the ball into the bottom corner to make it 2-1. Petersfield were then let off the hook several times as Finchampstead nearly equalised. The closest they came to equalising was when a shot hit the crossbar before ricocheting off James L. There were two minutes left on the clock when Orlando passed the ball to James B, who ran towards the goal with no challenges and slid the ball into the net to seal the win for the Pirates.
