A WORLD champion kickboxer has enjoyed plenty of success since opening her own gym in Petersfield.
Saffron Exton is a world champion kickboxer and fitness coach who has been competing in the ring for more than six years.
The 19-year-old, from Liss, holds both national and international titles and won a gold medal at the 2014 WKU World Championships in London.
Despite her age, she has now turned her hand to business ventures.
Her new gym, LAB99, offers a range of classes including Brazilian jiu-jitsu, general fitness, kickboxing and traditional boxing as well as personal training sessions.
Exton said: “We saw a ‘for let’ sign on the side of the building we’re in now and thought ‘why not?’
“Ever since I started kickboxing, it was my dream to open a gym.”
The recently-opened gym at The Courtyard was previously a rundown former factory next to The King’s Arms in the Town Hall car park.
The gym has gone from strength to strength and Exton has reported incredibly positive feedback from the community with some classes now full to capacity.
She believes the gym is the only one of its kind in the area that offers boxing or kickboxing.
Exton also empathises that LAB99 is not a rough and tough gym as 90 per cent of classes are for fitness rather than fighting for all ages from four years up.
The gym also offers personal training if required.
