HAMPSHIRE Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted in her car on the A3 near Petersfield.
Some time between 11.30am and 11.50am yesterday (Monday), the drivers of a red Nissan Micra and a Silver Range Rover were involved in a dispute on the A3 northbound between Bedhampton and the Ham Barn Roundabout.
It was reported that both vehicles came to a stop at the Ham Barn Roundabout before the driver of the Nissan Micra got out of her vehicle and assaulted the driver of the Range Rover through the window.
The victim, a 55-year-old woman, suffered injuries to her face as a result.
The driver of the Nissan has been described as white, thin, aged approximately 30 years old, with blonde tied back hair and tattoos on her upper chest. She was wearing a strappy top.
PC Michael Nol, of Havant Roads Policing Unit (RPU), said: “This is a busy stretch of road and I have no doubt that other road users would have witnessed at least part of this incident.
“I would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened, or the moments prior to the assault.
“In addition, we would like to speak to anyone who can help us identify the driver of the Nissan Micra so we can speak to her about what happened.”
