TRIBUTE act The Book of Genesis are to Turn It On Again for Petersfield fans when they play at one of the town’s pubs.
In what promises to be a Relevation for Genesis and rock music lovers, an electrifying show, with the band’s trademark costumes, mask and antics, will storm The Good Intent pub in College Street, on Saturday.
This is a return visit to the pub for the five-piece outfit, said to be one of the most enthralling and theatrical Genesis acts ever.
It is exciting for pub landlord Geoff Wootton who is building on the success of last year’s quartet of Boot Led Zeppelin, Wall of Floyd, Duran 2 and The Alter Eagles which he hosted.
“We’ve been planning this one for a while and although getting a five-piece progressive rock band into the pub is going to be a challenge, the band have matched our enthusiasm and determination to make it work,” he said.
“In fact, the band have agreed to broadcast their performance into the restaurant via a screen so we can cater for everyone.”
Focusing on Genesis’ early years, this is a must for fans of the band’s music. Tickets are priced £8. Contact the pub on 01730 263838.
