POETIC singer-songwriter Jack Savoretti, who has sold out shows in London, Dublin, Manchester and Leeds, is performing his only UK headlining date this year – at East Meon.
The English solo acoustic singer of Italian descent, who has been championed by BBC Radio Two presenters, is looking forward to giving a concert at Bereleigh Estate this Saturday, three days after being a guest of Quincy Jones at the O2 Arena in London.
And the reason he has chosen to sing in the East Hampshire countryside? “I was invited,” he told the Post.
“I heard it was a beautiful place and I’m having a quiet summer, taking time to reflect after four or five years on the road.
“We plan to have some fun at East Meon – a bit like a festival. I’ll be playing numbers mainly from my last two albums with a few surprises but there will be a bit of intimacy for a hot summer night,” he added.
At the end of July, he will be in Rome to record his next album, which has been influenced by playing in Italy.
A cash bar and food stalls will be on site or members of the audience can bring picnics, along with chairs and rugs for the outdoor show.
Tickets for An Evening in the Garden with Jack Savoretti, which runs from 6-11pm, are available through the Bereleigh Estate website at: www.bereleigh.co.uk
