IF MUSICALS float your boat then the King’s Theatre in Portsmouth is the place to moor up in November.

There is an all-singing, all-dancing line-up of sparkling, uplifting shows for the whole family.

You’ll be asking for more when Lionel Bart’s Oliver! – bringing Charles Dickens’ classic tale to life – is performed by the Portsmouth Players from November 1 to 5.

Join orphaned Oliver on his journey through Victorian England with its cast of colourful characters, and memorable, timeless songs including Food, Glorious Food, Where is Love and As Long as he Needs Me.

Inspired by the true story of friendship, love and the importance of fighting for what’s right is Made in Dagenham, which runs from November 10 to 12. This is being brought to the King’s for the first time by the award-winning South Downe Musical Society.

It’s the turn of Baby and Johnny from November 14 to 19 as their love story over one challenging and triumphant summer is played out in Dirty Dancing.

There’s heart-pounding music, breath-taking emotion and, of course, sensationally sexy dancing.

If you like your musicals more traditional, don’t miss Crazy for You, the beloved Gershwin musical performed by Portsmouth Grammar School.

Through a story of mistaken identity, cowboys, show girls and a collection of the most memorable tunes of George and Ira Gershwin, Crazy for You is a delightful homage to the shows of the 1930s.
