Animal magic as Petersfield shopkeeper completes London marathon in a rhino suit

DONNING a rhino suit to run the London marathon was never going to be easy.

And in the end it took Petersfield shopkeeper Gillian Silverthorn seven hours and nine seconds to cross the finish line.

“It was much harder than I thought,” she said. “I certainly underestimated being in the costume for 26.2 miles.”

She has raised £2,400 so far for Save the Rhino, and she plans to do it all again next year, but minus the thick skin!
