AS AN antidote to the bleak midwinter and ‘Blue Monday’, Grayshott Folk Club is inviting people to a barn dance on Saturday.
This event is for those who do not take their dancing too seriously and like to have a bit of fun.
Providing music for the evening will be The Hog’s Back Band and the evening will be held in Grayshott Village Hall from 7.30pm.
New barn dancers needn’t worry as caller Lisa Purkiss will put everyone at ease and make things as simple as possible.
The Hog’s Back Band are from Farnham and they played at the folk club’s first ever barn dance.
The folk club started in January 2011 and its spiritual home and venue most used for gigs is Grayshott Village Hall in Headley Road, Grayshott.
There’s ample parking at the village hall, and it has a fully-licensed bar, and it is wheelchair accessible.
Tickets are £12 for adults and £6 for under-16s.
These can be bought from Grayshott Post Office, Grayshott Wine Centre and Haslemere Bookshop. Alternatively you can call Des O’Byrne on 01428 607096.
