BIG-HEARTED students at Bedales School have won grants totaling £1,500 for charities of their choice. They championed the case for good causes to a panel of judges including Petersfield deputy mayor Sarah Howard, as part of the First Give programme. They were then able to present the Hampton Trust with £1,000, and £250 each to the Portsmouth Downs Syndrome Association and the Southern Domestic Abuse Service. Bedales is one of 110 schools taking part in the scheme this year.
Bedales at Steep has also applied to planners to install three tennis courts with floodlighting. The plans can be viewed on the South Downs National Park Authority planning website, using reference SDNP/16/00348/FUL
