A BARBER shop is the prime place to sample public opinion, and customers at Hairdressing for Men have been talking of little else but the referendum as they have their hair cut.

“You should come and sit in here for an hour and hear what people say.

“We do provoke them sometimes and just light the match,” laughed hairdresser Sarah Warren at the shop in Chapel Street, Petersfield.

“A lot of people are for out, especially the older people.

“Nearly all of them want to vote out. Some people get really heated about it, and come in wearing their Brexit T-shirts.

“Immigration is a big issue, and the £3.5m a week going to Brussels. People have very strong opinions about those things.

“All the younger ones though want to stay in, the ones who are at university.”
