A familiar face has retained his place at the head of the Liss Parish Council table.

There was no drama in the village hall on Monday with Cllr Keith Budden being unanimously re-elected chair during the Annual Meeting of Liss Parish Council.

The long-serving councillor and author was proposed by Andy Smith with Cllr Paddy Payne being elected vice-chair.

There was also a congratulations and welcome to Cllr Nick Drew with the Conservative giving his first report to LPC as Hampshire County Council member for Petersfield Hangers following last week’s local election triumph.

He told councillors that potholes and speeding were among the most frequently-reported issues, with calls being made during the meeting for more checks on Forest Road in Liss Forest.
