TO MARK its 30th anniversary, a Petersfield firm has launched a competition to help budding inventors to get their products to market.
Morgan Innovation and Technology Ltd has launched the Morgan Innovation and Technology Prize 2017 (MIAT Prize). The winning inventor will receive £30,000 worth of research and development expertise and services to further develop their idea.
Chief executive officer Nigel Clarke said: “We know from our own experiences that practical help and support can often be more valuable to an early stage inventor than cash, so we decided the prize should be made up of research and development and manufacturing services to ensure we deliver a tangible benefit to the winner.”
Entries will be judged by television presenter Jon Bentley of Gadget Show fame, Andy Wright of Santander and Dr Mike Short, head of innovation at Telefonica. The closing date for entries is September 30.
