AN ANNUAL tradition at St Peter’s Church is the Carols for the Town service, which welcomes all those who work in the town to come to the church for a traditional carol service.

Shop workers, teachers, council workers, office workers, cleaners and many more, work so hard to make Christmas special for Petersfield.

St Peters’ vicar, the Reverend Will Hughes, said: "This service gives them the chance to enjoy what they are so busy helping others to enjoy.

"Before and after the service, mulled wine and mince pies are served – carol singing is always jollier with a glass of mulled wine beforehand! "Tesco’s have kindly donated money towards the mulled wine, and the cooks of St Peter’s will be hard at work producing mince pies for everyone."

The service will be a traditional selection of carols and readings, with anthems sung by St Peter’s choir.
