COMEDY fans should grab the chance to see stand-up acts in Petersfield on their way to Edinburgh.
For the next three monthly shows of the Petersfield Comedy Club, comedians will be presenting sets they have devised for the world-famous Fringe festival north of the border in August.
First up, on May 2, at the Folly Wine and Ale House, are white-haired Irishman Caimh McDonnell and Aussie John Robertson.
Of Caimh, club organiser Chaz Collett says:?“It’s been way too long since this smooth, friendly, brilliantly funny man has been to Petersfield so it’s going to be great to have him doing a long set so we can all catch up.”
And he is equally in awe of the talents of John, who appeared at the club in February. “It’s unusual to have an act return so soon, but after his blistering performance in February, and his Edinburgh show being 95 per cent different material, it was just too much to resist,” he said.
Both Caimh and John will give performances of around an hour.
Tickets are £6 in advance from the venue, and £7 on the door. Food is served from 6.30-9pm. Visit www.barkingmadcomedy.com
