HUNDREDS of visitors have been admiring, and buying, the eye-catching pottery on display in a popular annual event in Petersfield.

Mulled wine and mince pies were served in the Physic Garden Room in the High Street on Saturday (November 19) to give a festive opening to the ceramics exhibition by the Petersfield Arts and Crafts Society Potters.

Potter Barbara Mace, of Petersfield, was delighted to be an award winner at the launch – picking up The Philippa Sladden Award for her large decorated plates. She was presented with it by John Sladden.

The show, which features a variety of ceramics created by a range of techniques, is open daily until Sunday, November 27.

Opening hours are 10am to 4pm. Entry is free.
