A HAMPSHIRE orchestra will perform for the first time in Petersfield this weekend in aid of a much-loved local charity.
Pieces by Handel, Danzi and Mozart will be performed by the Solent Chamber Orchestra this Saturday in St Peter’s Church.
The concert, which will start at 7.30pm, is free to attend but will be followed by a retiring collection for the Rosemary Foundation.
The chamber group is part of the well established Solent Symphony Orchestra but many of its members live locally.
Founder member and principal flautist, Helen Walton, from Liss, will be one of the soloists while clarinetist, Robert Blanken, is well known locally thanks to his Petersfield Orchestra performances.
The pair will perform the delighted Symphonie Concertante for Flute and Clarinet while the show will open and close with Grosso Opus 3 and Symphony No 29, respectively.
