A?TRADITIONAL skills display at Petersfield Museum has had a couple of spin-offs.
As part of the Old Local Crafts and Industries exhibition, a wool spinning demonstration in the museum off St Peters Road was followed by a presentation of pewter work, by Petersfield expert Jean Voice.
Repousse is the craft of decorating pewter by hammering out a raised design for the face of a vessel from the inside, or reverse side.
Museum learning and community engagement officer Rosalind Norrell said: “Jean’s pewter decorating was really well received.”
The exhibition runs to August 13, and looks at long gone industries and crafts in Petersfield, including brick and leather making.
