THE UK’s leading crop circle researcher and photographer, Lucy Pringle from Sheet, says an unusual crop circle in a field of barley of Kitt’s Lane on the A272 just past the crossroads at West Meon, has led to debate about its origins.

It’s believed the circle with a circumference of about 180ft (55m) appeared overnight, or early morning, before being discovered on Saturday, August 8.

Lucy said: “It is a complex formation, with an inner hexagram consisting of interlocking and overlapping equilateral triangles surrounded by an edge of complex symbols. There have been excited biblical, astronomical and geometric explanations .”

Lucy is an international authority on the subject and the pioneer researcher into the effects of electromagnetic fields on living systems.

She was educated in England, France and Switzerland and spent 12 years in Jamaica where her elder son was born.

Sine then she has travelled widely, attending conferences, and lecturing about crop circles around the world, and is a founder member of the Centre for Crop Circle Studies.
