A UKULELE tutor group for people living with dementia and their carers and friends will hold its first session at Petersfield Library in The Square on January 18, from 1-2.30pm.

The sessions are for people who used to play and want to resume playing, and for others who want to try something new, and will be led by guitar and ukulele tutor Sam Grant.

It is hoped by the end of the course everyone attending will be able to strum a few simple chords.

The fun sessions are free and aimed at people with dementia who may wish to be accompanied by a carer or friend.

Library manager Nicola Hepple said: “It will be a fun, small, inclusive group for those affected by dementia.”
