MARGE Harvey has won the battle to contest the Catherington ward for the Conservatives in the 2017 Hampshire County Council elections.
The Rowlands Castle resident, who already holds the seat, comfortably fought off the challenge of David Evans at a recent election.
Rob Mocatta, who represents East Meon, Langrish and Buriton on East Hampshire District Council, was also put forward to contest the Petersfield Butser seat for the same party.
The ward is up for grabs as Ken Moon has decided not to contest the seat at the local elections, as he wants to focus on making the Clanfield Community Building a success.
