EAST Hampshire communities got a spring clean during the Clean for the Queen day when residents gathered to tidy their neighbourhoods.
East Hampshire District Council and its contractor The Landscape Group provided litter-pickers, bin bags and hi-vis jackets and disposed of the collected rubbish afterwards.
Cllr Julie Butler said: “It’s great to see so many different parts of the district signing up so whole-heartedly.”
The groups included: Friends of Petersfield Heath, Liphook in Bloom, Rowlands Castle Association, Rowlands Castle Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Guides, Catherington WI, Finchdean and Idsworth, Froxfield and Privett Litterati, Sheet WI, Petersfield Villages WIs, Petersfield U3A, Petersfield Town Football Club, Petersfield Society and East Petersfield Community Group.
