RESIDENTS of Rival Moor Road and surrounding roads are being reminded the annual general meeting of East Petersfield Community Group is coming up.

Among other items on the agenda is a summary of the previous year in which the Rival Moor estate fun day will be mentioned, and there will also be the annual election of officers.

The meeting will also hear that the Street Watch patrols on Rival Moor, and elsewhere in Petersfield, are still going strong.

East Petersfield Community Group chairman Steve Dewy of Rival Moor Road said: “Our teams are still out there patrolling, and will continue to do so for another 12 months.”

There will also be an update on the drive to provide a new dedicated area on Rival Moor for young people.

Mr Dewey said: “For the coming year we will be concentrating on completing projects we started a while ago, we won’t be taking on any new ones.

“There is to be an announcement in February about the proposed area for young people, so that will only get a brief mention at the AGM.”

The meeting in the club room of the Taro Centre leisure centre at Penns Place is on Thursday, January 26, and starts at 7.30pm.
