Students who completed their Visual Arts GCSE this summer returned last night for the annual exhibition’s private view, attended by the Mayor, Lesley Farrow, and various governors and invited guests.

It was an opportunity to catch up with old classmates and admire their fabulous artwork and photography on display.

This year’s GCSE results were the highest yet - 98 per cent A*-C, 40 per cent A*/A.

Head of Visual Art, Gary Leeson, said: “I am incredibly proud of what our students have achieved – they all worked incredibly hard and their efforts paid off with these great results.”
