Churcher’s College sixth formers are celebrating another crop of good A Level results.

Headmaster Simon Williams said: "The privilege and joy of being a teacher is that you are constantly surrounded by brilliant young people and no more so than at Churcher’s.

"I had the pleasure of joining the Italian audiences’ standing ovations as we watched the Churcher’s Orchestra perform at their open air concerts on the shoreline piazzas of Lake Garda as part of the summer music tour in July and the echoes of those ovations continue as we return to some remarkable academic performances to lie alongside the musical ones.

"Almost half of all the A level exams are graded at A* and A, 80% at A* to B grade which means that the Churcher’s pupils have achieved their ambitions of accessing the top universities and most competitive degree courses in the country.

"Whatever and wherever the brilliant young people of Churcher’s perform, they never disappoint and, as ever, we are all absolutely delighted with such extraordinary achievements continuing a great tradition of the many generations of Churcherians that have preceded them."
