COUNCIL officers will be talking rubbish next week as litter, fly-tipping and parking enforcement will be the lead topic at a Horndean meeting.
Enforcement teams at East Hampshire District Council (EHDC) are working hard to keep the southern parishes clean and orderly.
But how does enforcement work, what happens to the money raised and what can you do to appeal a fine?
These questions and more will be answered next Wednesday, July 5, during the EHDC Community Forum for Horndean, Clanfield and Rowlands Castle.
The meeting, which will begin in Merchistoun Hall at 6.30pm, will feature a panel of experts that will include key members of the EHDC enforcement team.
“East Hampshire District Council is responsible for tackling important issues such as parking, littering and fly-tipping and it takes this responsibility very seriously,” said EHDC Head of Neighbourhood Support Natalie Meagher.
“Enforcement is an important part of that work but it’s not just about issuing tickets.
“If you have any queries or concerns about enforcement in your area then please come along and speak to the experts at this community forum.”
The same issue will also be discussed by members of the community forum for Petersfield, Liss and the Surrounding Villages at Penns Place, Petersfield, on Tuesday, July 11.
