The Dell in East Meon will be the venue for the first Dellfest on July 18 and 19.

Families, music lovers and foodies will come together to celebrate summer in one of Hampshire’s most beautiful settings.

This festival promises two days of sensational entertainment including top bands and DJ performances, family-friendly fun, local music including steel drums, ukulele bands and choirs, creative kids’ zones and activities including pottery, and family yoga.

Visitors can feast on The Dell’s signature wood-fired pizzas plus mouth-watering street food favourites such as bao buns, crepes, smash burgers and tacos, complemented by a flowing selection of local ales, ciders and wines.

The event starts when the doors open at 4pm on July 18. The musical line-up is the Little Town Choir (5.15pm to 6pm), the Fabulous Fug Band (6pm to 8pm), Truly Medley Deeply (8pm to 10pm) and Sir Francis DJ (10pm to 11pm).

Friday night headliners Truly Medley Deeply should instantly strike a chord with any Savage Garden fans in the audience.

They were set up in 2010 by three students at Cambridge University and have always been a unique hybrid of live act, DJ and jukebox, taking the best parts of songs and condensing them into beautifully-flowing medleys.

On July 19 the doors open at midday but again the music starts at 4pm, beginning with Steel Drums (4pm to 5pm) and followed by the Ukulele Band (5pm to 6pm), Sir Francis DJ (6pm to 8pm), Great Scott! (8pm to 10.30pm) and Sir Francis DJ (10.30pm to 11pm).

Saturday night headliners Great Scott! feature Portsmouth singer Rachael Hawnt, who won the first series of ITV’s Starstruck in 2022 performing as Cher.

They promise “unparalleled fun” in their live performance and “an explosion of energy that gets the crowd on their feet every time”.
