Sheet Film Club will begin 2026 with a laugh as they’re screening a comedy classic to keep the January blues at bay.

The club will have the hottest ticket in town next Thursday (January 15) as Blazing Saddles will be shown from 7.30pm in the village hall.

While not to everyone’s taste – some of the name-calling would be considered offensive by some – the “daring, provocative and laugh-out loud movie” starring Cleavon Little and Gene Wilder is considered a high point in Mel Brooks’ career.

“This is a very funny movie, a cult comedy classic with an underlying serious message,” said a spokesperson for the club.

Doors open at 7pm with tickets £6 on the door or in advance from https://webcollect.org.uk/sheetfilms.
