VIDEO: Merry motorcade as thousands around East Hants and Sussex cheer on tractor runThe supermarket has made a pledge to help its staff become Dementia Friends, with the support of its community champion Sheila Barker Wallis.
Sheila, who is a trained Dementia Friends Champion, will offer information sessions to staff, raising awareness of dementia, including ways in which staff can help customers with the condition.
East Hampshire MP?Damian Hinds, who helped launch Dementia Friendly Petersfield last year, visited the store to meet employees and thank them for their support for the scheme.
Sheila said:?“I’m delighted that Tesco is able to support this local initiative and work with other organisations in Petersfield to help the many people affected by dementia.”
