It destroyed a tractor and scorched 200 square metres of stubble land after breaking out around 4pm, with crews using breathing apparatus, hose reels and beaters to extinguish the blaze.
Droxford firefighters helped to free two women from a flaming car following an accident on Bell Moor Lane in Upham at 6pm which destroyed both vehicles involved.
The victims were treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken by ambulance to Southampton General Hospital.
A Mini was one of the vehicles which suffered 100 per cent fire damage in the blaze, with firefighters from Bishop’s Waltham also attending.
