Rowlands Castle Painting Society is holding its annual art exhibition this weekend in collaboration with Rowlands Castle Women’s Institute.

The societies are putting together an exciting winter exhibition of arts and a Christmas fair.

Painting society secretary Terry Devaney said: “The art exhibition is in the main hall, and there will be paintings in a variety of styles, mediums and subjects, including local scenes, hand-painted cards and folios all at very reasonable prices, and there will be a tombola.”

The winter fair – comprising the WI display of seasonal cakes, preserves and gifts – will be in the small hall.

WI members are also serving refreshments in the pop-up café in aid of the Eagle Appeal Fund which supports the Rachel Madocks School in Cowplain for people aged two to 19 with severe and profound multiple learning difficulties.

There is much on offer for visitors to enjoy and an opportunity to buy an original painting and gifts for Christmas.

Entry to the exhibition and fair, that run from 10am to 4.30pm in the Parish Hall in Links Lane, Rowlands Castle, is free.

There is good disabled access, and free parking in the road or at the recreation ground opposite.
