HUNDREDS of visitors made tracks to Froxfield at the weekend for a showcase of traditional tractors.

Up to 500 people were wowed by around 70 vintage tractors at Tracks Across the Field opposite The Trooper pub in the village.

Now in its 19th year, the popular event sees tractors of all shapes, sizes and makes, plough the field there in procession.

It is quite a spectacle, according to the Wessex Historic Tractor and Implements Club, which organises the event.

Club president Ed Whattley said:?“People like to see the working tractors as they don’t get much chance to.

“We had good weather but it was raining on Sunday morning but the tractor drivers were still out there getting wet but loving every minute of it.”

There was a bar too, and Saturday night music.
