A PETERSFIELD youngster who runs an annual appeal for presents to give to children with young parents struggling to make ends meet has made his first donation this Christmas.

Joe Tully, 12, handed the first batch of presents to Tory Cover of Home-Start Butser, the Petersfield charity helping young families. These gifts will be distributed to local families in the run up to Christmas. Gifts were donated and bought for those aged under 17 years old.

As well as Home-Start, Joe and his friend Amelia, aged ten, also appealed for food donations and toiletries for Petersfield food bank.

These donations will be going to the food bank after the appeal deadline.

Joe said: “We would like to thank everyone for their support and encouragement, and Jake’s Toys, the Free Shop and Ann’s Prams for once again being drop-off points for the appeal.”
