AN?EVENING of short talks in Buriton on Wednesday, July 27, will explain the build-up a hundred years ago to the battles of Jutland and the Somme during the First World War. Research has uncovered the varied roles played by brave ?Buriton men during these conflicts.

There will be help at the event, at 7.30pm in the village hall, for anyone wanting to conduct their own research. Admission is free.
