Town matters will be flagged up when a group which keeps an eye on Petersfield holds its AGM later this week, writes Marcus Fairweather.
A talk about flags will be one of the highlights during the Petersfield Society AGM this Thursday evening (Sept 18).
The group will also announce the winner of the Owl Award for significant contribution to the town’s character during the 7pm event at the URC on College Street.
Captain (Ret) Malcolm Farrow OBE will be the guest speaker with the President of the Flag Institute talking about the “Symbols that Unite Us.”
The talk will focus on the role flags play from national and regional to Petersfield’s very own in giving our communities a sense of pride and purpose.
