People attending Remembrance Sunday services in Alton and Petersfield will not be charged for using East Hampshire District Council car parks.
The council has agreed to postpone charges at the likes of Lady Place and Central car parks, among others, until 1pm tomorrow as communities across the district come together to pay their respects to the fallen.
Councillors from across the district will represent the council and lay wreaths at Remembrance services in their local communities, joining residents, veterans, serving personnel and community organisations in paying their respects.
Parking payment machines will be covered to make it clear that charges do not apply during the free parking period.
The RingGo app may still show the option to pay for parking, but you do not need to make a payment during these hours.
