THE PETERSFIELD Museum shop will be open twice a week to sell special Christmas gifts.
The museum is now closed for the winter but the shop will be opening from 10am until 4pm every Wednesday and Saturday until December 20.
Original Christmas presents for all budgets will be on offer.
There are exclusive desk and wall calendars featuring images from the museum’s many collections and an eclectic array of items produced by local artists.
It includes cards and prints by Mary Herdman and the renowned Gordon Rushmer, Heidi Robinson’s glass Christmas decorations, plus Christmas cards, lino prints and fused glass by Jill Martin.
There will also be crafted, practical items such as candlesticks, bookends and hand mirrors from the Edward Barnsley Workshop at Froxfield and exquisite wooden bowls by Colin Norgate. Many books will also be on sale.
Shop manager and museum trustee Chris Newbery said: “We are delighted to be able to showcase such a terrific variety of work from local artists and craftsmen – there really is something for everyone.”
The shop is at the front of the museum, just off the market square in St Peter’s Road, Petersfield.
