A grand property between on the border of Hampshire and West Sussex could be converted into housing.

Clayton Court is a late 19th century mansion house in Hill Brow which was last used as a family care home.

It’s now been earmarked for housing with a change of use application being submitted to the South Downs National Park Authority.

The plans include converting the main building into four townhouses and eight apartments, and extending some of the estate buildings to create a further four dwellings.

The architect will give a presentation to Rogate Parish Council from 6.30pm next Monday (September 1) in Rogate Village Hall.
