A STEEP man will give a new meaning to the term “vegging out” on Boxing Day as he will run a marathon dressed as a sprig of broccoli.
Jhon Cosgrove will pace the streets of Petersfield on December 26 in a bid to raise £1,000 for a 250-mile charity bike ride around India.
The musician and infamous Come Dine With Me contestant hopes the marathon and five-day ride across the subcontinent will raise awareness of Veganuary.
The charity claims that veganism is one of the most effective ways to reduce the suffering of animals, help the planet and improve personal health.
Jhon, who has been vegan for 11 years, said: “I already run 40 to 50 miles a week but the marathon is going to be a challenge because of the costume.”
