An ABBA tribute night in Petersfield Festival Hall has raised lots of money, money, money for one of the town’s most-loved charities.

There were plenty of dancing queens and super troupers in the crowd when the venue hosted a Night of Abba Magic in aid of the Rosemary Foundation.

And who cares if their mothers didn’t know some of them were out – especially when the party raised an impressive £4,500 for the hospice at home charity.

The evening was organised by the Entertainment Events team which has already raised a hefty five-figure sum for the RF through the Hawkley Beer Festival, Fringe Festival and Half Moon Music Festival earlier this summer.

And the 400 revellers were treated to an unforgettable evening of music, dancing and fundraising which also showcased some of the town’s rising stars.

Hannah, Paige and Fleur got the party started before Legends – Petersfield’s “ultimate” boy band tribute act – had the crowd singing, swooning and swaying with a medley of classic pop hits.

But the crowd were Bjorn to party and the headline act SOS: The ABBA Party Band delivered 90 minutes of pop brilliance that had the audience parting like it was 1975.

“What a night it was,” said Entertainment Events co-founder, Chris Pellett.

“They delivered an hour and a half of non-stop ABBA anthems. And the Festival Hall really became a true nightclub venue, with lights, sound and an atmosphere.

“I’ve got to say though, behind the scenes, none of it would have been possible without the dedication and support of the 20-strong Entertainment Events team who worked tirelessly to bring it all together.”

The same show will return to the Festival Hall on September 26, 2026, with the next event on the calendar being the Burns Celebration at the Half Moon Sheet in January.
