HOLLYCOMBE opened its doors for the 2017 season on Good Friday, remaining open for all four days of the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.
Visitors flocked through to enjoy the Victorian and Edwardian fairground rides, which had been dismantled at the end of the 2016 season and cared for over the winter by Hollycombe’s volunteers.
Pride of place went to the Haunted House, the oldest in the world and dating back over 100 years, which re-opened with many original features now in place.
Trustee Brian Gooding said: “We were delighted with the Easter weekend.
“Hundreds of family groups visited and feedback was excellent. The volunteers have been busy over the past few months, relaying railway track and working in the gardens, as well as overseeing the maintenance programme on the fairground rides.
“The winter work is all worth the effort when we see the smiles on people’s faces.”
