THE WIFE and mother of a former patient have donated more than £1,500 to the Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust’s charity Brighterway to let the Heart Failure Team at Waterlooville Health Centre buy vital equipment.

Alan Stephenson was diagnosed with heart failure and was a patient of the team, which covers Petersfield, until he died at 61. Wife Anne and mother Joyce wanted to thank them for their support.

Anne said: “I have known the heart failure team for around ten years so we decided to raise money for an electrocardiogram machine as we wanted to give something back. The care Alan received definitely prolonged his life.”
