HE?MAY?not be the best batman, but tattoo fan Jhon Cosgrove’s poor form led to a spot on a TV?show – and a new tattoo.

The punk band guitarist from Petersfield knocked audiences for six with his wacky new ink on E4’s Tattoo Fixers programme last week.

The show usually helps out those people wanting to have their terrible tattoos covered up, but Jhon (33) put his idea for a new tattoo to the programme makers and they went along with it.

His team-mate Dale Collins at Steep Cricket Club bet him that he couldn’t hit a six last season. He didn’t, as he is a “rubbish cricketer” he says, and had to pay the price of a tattoo proclaiming ‘Chugly says vegans are weak’.

Chugly is Dale’s nickname and Jhon gets good-natured mickey taking at the cricket club for being a vegan.

He had this tattoo inked on his leg on the show as well as being filmed at Steep Cricket Club and Milford Bowls Club.

“It was really good fun on the programme,” said Jhon, who has around 15 tattoos on his body, including his dogs and the face of his tour guide in China when he was there with his punk band Mike TV. “I like tattoos and showing off, so it was perfect for me.”

Tattoo Fixers can be seen on catch up.
