POLICE found two men in need of hospital treatment after being called to a house in east Petersfield last Thursday.

Some neighbours have claimed the late night incident on Rival Moor Road was a stabbing with the police not confirming or denying the use of a knife.

There was plenty of police activity in the area with a helicopter also being spotted above.

Police have confirmed they were called to a house on Rival Moor Road shortly after midnight last Thursday following reports of an assault. They found a 21-year-old man with injuries to his neck, and a 49-year-old man with facial injuries.

Neither victim was said to be in a life-threatening condition while no arrests had been made when the Post went to press (Tuesday afternoon).
