A TEENAGER needed hospital treatment after a house party in Petersfield spilled on to the street.

Police were called to Cranford Road around 10pm last Saturday after a large number of people left the venue and gathered around the green.

A group of uninvited guests may have been responsible for the ugly scenes which followed as cars were damaged and bottles were smashed on the pavement.

Police have also confirmed that a 17-year-old male was assaulted during the incident and was treated in hospital for cuts to his face and neck.

“Officers attended as the group was dispersing and remained at the scene until they had gone,” said a spokeswoman for the police.

“Officers spoke to residents and advised them to report any damage.”

Investigations are ongoing but anyone with any information is urged to call Hampshire Police on 101 quoting reference 44180276175.
