THE chief executive at Petersfield award winning company Morgan Innovation and Technology believes staying in the European Union is best for business.

Nigel Clarke joined the family company in Petersfield Business Park on Bedford Road, Petersfield, at the start of 2015 after selling his Hong Kong based sports-wear company.

He said: “Trading in a single market is very beneficial. “We have European staff, as well as other nationalities, and staff welfare is better because we are in the EU.

“Although the EU isn’t prefect, we are much better off in than out.”

And if the UK votes to Brexit, Nigel says the uncertainty could cause problems.

He said: “It’s likely to get messy for several years.”

He added the work place had remained pressure free regarding tommorros’in or out EU referendum.

He said: “I’m sure there are a wide range of views among the staff, and how they vote is their concern.”
