THE LISS branch of the Royal British Legion is inviting those intending to take part in the Remembrance Sunday commemorations to walk with the parade.
The parade will form up outside the Royal British Legion (RBL) club in Rake Road at 10.15am on Sunday (November 13) to march to St Mary’s Church in Station Road.
At the church there will be a service, and after it the congregation is invited to parade, or walk, to the war memorial outside the Triangle Centre for a wreath laying ceremony.
“This year Liss Athletic footballers and supporters will join the parade, highlighting its importance as one of the village’s principal annual events.”
On Friday (November 11) there will be a short Armistice Day service at the war memorial, starting at 10.45am.
